Report on Energy Rehabilitation in Spain

The General Council of Technical Architecture (CGATE) has presented a report that shows how 8% of Spanish homes are kept at a temperature below 17ºC and 35% between 18ºC and 19ºC. In other words, they will be cold in winter, since they are well below the minimum recommended comfort temperature, which is 20ºC. Fact that can cause damage to people’s health.

The study concludes that in the last years, only 0,8% of the build stock has been rehabilitate and with the urgent need to rehabilitate 3 million homes to improve the built stock and help families to get out of their situation of energy poverty.
